Carnage in High Street

What a mess! the pictures show the result of a High Street incident in the early hours about 2 weeks ago. It appears that the driver of the mini convertible made a gross error of judgement regarding the width of the road outside the old school house. Combining the situation of a narrow road with his speed, which must have been fairly substantial looking at the state of the damage, resulted in a fair degree of damage to parked cars.

You may think that the mini was travelling from the Broughton cross roads - wrong!! He was actually travelling from Kettering, the impact spun the car completely round.

We must only be thankful that the parked cars were unoccupied and that there were no pedestrians around at the time.

Now is the time for us all to re-consider the traffic situation. If you feel strongly about the amount and speed of the traffic through the village, why not write to the Parish Council? The chairman is waiting for your call...
