Planning Application KET/2010/0802
On the 14th December 2010 a planning application was submitted for a temporary wind test mast to be erected north of theBroughton cross roads for a period of 12 months. The application
stated that this mast was to be erected to test wind conditions with a view to securing funding for a future (wind farm?) development. If you want to read more about the application, please go to the Kettering Web site (link at the bottom of this page).
Although Kettering Council sent out notices to residents and the Parish Council, these were never received. The target date for neighbours/consultations has now been extended to 18th January 2011, with a decision to be made by the 8th February 2011 so time is short.
On the face of it, this seems like the preliminary round for the building of a full scale wind farm to the north of the village. What do you think about this situation?
