This was formed immediately after the war by the Home Guard. Since then it has developed into a social club not restricted to members/past members of the forces.  Its main objectives now are in promoting social events primarily for the village with any profits used for benefit of the village and/or donated to charities with forces links (e.g. Royal British Legion). However it is not primarily a fund raising organisation. Its committee is elected each year at its AGM in the village Hall. The committee are considering merging their activities with the village hall in the near future.
