The millennium wine group was formed in 1999 to promote wine appreciation in a relaxed and informal environment. It meets about 6 times a year normally in the Old Chapel (now the offices of Glanmore Investments) by courtesy of Sir James Spooner. It also arranges trips out both in the UK and abroad, most recently to the Champagne and Alsace wine growing areas of France. Membership has grown steadily and now stands at over 50.
